I’m S J, I am a nutrition coach and personal trainer for menopausal women. When I hit 40 it was like a switch had flicked in my body. I felt like I had lost all sense of who I was, I had put on weight, had no energy, I struggled with brain fog and mood swings. All that changed when I started to learn about more about hormones and perimenopause. I realised I needed to start changing my approach to my health, fitness and nutrition as my hormones were changing. I learnt how-to live-in harmony with my hormones to help me achieve healthy sustainable weight loss and to understand how our hormones impact every area of our life. I learnt how to balance my hormones to reduce stress and how to harness their power to make the best use of my time. Now I want to pass all my secrets on to you. Having worked in the fitness space for many years it was obvious that women like you and I were being overlooked. The traditional approach to nutrition and fitness doesn’t work for our bodies as our hormones are changing so I trained to become a Menopause Nutritionist and Personal Trainer. I know I don't talk about my faith much on the podcast but that is about to change. I have been really working on my relationship with God and I feel he is calling me through my podcast to share with you more of his words of love.
How many times have you scrolled through social media looking at all these images of perfect women in tight leggings in the gym and it has made you feel bad and even worthless? Like they are a standard you should be trying to achieve.
God loves you for the individual you are. He made you uniquely and of course we should look after our bodies and honour them as the gift they are but you do not have to live up to some fake idol to be happy!
This is a journey I am on and I want to bring you with me. Moving forward I am going to be talking about health, fitness and productivity more from a Christian perspective so that we can start to change the way we feel about ourselves and bring ourselves closer to God.
My friend I know some of this might make you feel uncomfortable but stick me... When we open our hearts to God's love, dig into his word and move closer to him you will feel happier. Let's link arms and move through this journey together, lets change how we think and feel about our bodies as mothers so that we can pave the way for our children
