Welcome to Golden Tails & Trails — the dog podcast for women who want to feel healthier, happier and more connected through life on the trails with their dogs.
I’m SJ, a women’s fitness and Canicross coach, joined by my two golden retrievers, Skye and Daisy — your four-legged co-hosts bringing muddy paws, real life moments, and plenty of trail-side wisdom.
This podcast blends dog stories, outdoor adventures, and realistic wellbeing conversations for women who love walking, running, hiking, Canicross, and building an active lifestyle with their dogs. Whether you’re starting your first dog walk for fitness, exploring trail running, navigating menopause, improving your mindset, or simply looking for motivation to get outside, you’ll find encouragement here.
Each episode includes:
• real-life stories from the trails with Skye and Daisy
• fitness, weight-loss and motivation support for women
• Canicross and running-with-dogs guidance
• dog kit and gear reviews to help you and your dog adventure safely
• expert guests from the dog, fitness and wellbeing world
• honest conversations about womanhood, confidence, mental wellbeing and everyday life with dogs
You don’t need to be a runner.
You don’t need perfect motivation.
You just need a lead, a pair of trainers, and a dog who’s ready for adventure.
So come along with us — walking, jogging, running and rediscovering wellbeing one trail at a time.
Because sometimes the best therapy has four legs and a muddy tail. 🐾✨

Jesus is difficult John 6 60-69
Weight loss is hard, eating healthy and working out is hard. But we have to ask ourselves are we going to choose the hard path or the easy path?
Following Jesus is difficult. It’s a struggle. We will fail to do it at times.
But that failure doesn’t mean it’s not worth it nor that we’ve ruined anything. Because Jesus solves even that failure in what he provides. When we’ve been tempted to and have followed and easier path rather than following Jesus, Jesus forgives that.
When we’ve stumbled in our dedication to Jesus and not lived our lives the way that we should to thank him for what he’s done for us, Jesus forgives that. When we’ve let sin or anything else become more important to us than what God does for us in Jesus’ life and death in our place, Jesus forgives that.
Difficult as it is to follow Jesus, his forgiveness restores us at every single misstep and failure. Following Jesus is difficult, but it is not something we do alone.

Prayer over Politics
As a mother what are some of the practical things you can do in your home with your family to have UNWAIVERING and UNAPOLOGETIC allegiance to the truth of God's word in todays fickle culture?
This is the question I have been asking myself this week in light of some of the events that have been happening in the world around me.
I would love to hear your thoughts
